As I cast on for my sock, I realized....
... I'd forgotten which needles I'd used to make them. I figured it was the bamboo ones, but now that I'm more than half done, I definitely didn't use the bamboo ones. D= So I finally did it. I thought I'd do fine without one, but it's time to start a knitting journal. And I wrote how I did my last sock while it was still fresh in my mind.
Oh, old age... how you sneak up on me. ;_;

I know what you mean about keeping track of things. I find that if I print up the patterns then I can make notes right on the page changing the counts for stitches or rows as I need to--especially on a pair of socks where you want one to look like the other.
Just a hint.
